HOUNDSDITCH – PEDESTRIAN ZONE

  • 1 NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Common Council of the City of London propose to make an order under section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
  • 2 The effect of the order would be to prohibit vehicles entering the length of Houndsditch between Outwich Street and Bishopsgate between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays. Exemption would be provided for emergency vehicles and vehicles performing statutory duties. Pedal cycles would also be able to enter the area from either direction.
  • 3 A copy of the proposed order, of the Common Councils statement of reasons for proposing to make the order and of a plan showing the affected street can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive within a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice was published at the Department of Planning and Transportation, Guildhall, London, EC2P 2EJ.
  • 4 Further information may be obtained from the Department of Planning and Transportation at the above address or by telephone 0207 332 1108.
  • 5 Persons desiring to object to the proposed measures should send a statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Planning and Transportation at the above address within the afore-mentioned period of 21 days quoting the reference P&T/LTP/PA.
