MOWBRAY ROAD, HAM

(REFERENCE 73/08)

  • 1 The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames propose to make the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
  • 2 The general effect of the Order will be to introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” in Mowbray Road, Ham as specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
  • 3 For the distance of 21 metres in Mowbray Road referred to in paragraph (a) of the Schedule, vehicles parked partly on the footway and within the marked area of that footway will be exempted from the general prohibition of parking on footways as provided for by Section 15 of the Greater London Council (General Powers) Act 1974.
  • 4 These proposals are in place of those proposed on 29 February 2008. Pending the Council’s consideration of any objections received pursuant to paragraph 5 below, the restrictions indicated by yellow line road markings already in place outside Nos 3-37 Mowbray Road and Nos 24-34 Mowbray Road are suspended.
  • 5 Copies of the proposed Order, a plan showing the location and effect of the proposals and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order can be inspected, quoting Reference 73/08, at:—
    • a Ham Library, Ham Street, Ham, Surrey TW10 7HR during opening hours, and
    • b the Civic Centre (Planning Reception, ground floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays.
  • 6 Persons wishing to object to or support the proposals or any part thereof should write to the Manager for Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ within 21 days of the date of this Notice giving the grounds of their objection.

Waiting restrictions, “no waiting at any time”

Mowbray Road, Ham:

  • a the north-east side (odd house numbers), the full length except for a distance of 21 metres outside Nos 19-25 Mowbray Road inclusive.
  • b the turning circle at its south-east limit, from the south-eastern boundary No 25 Mowbray Road (on the north-east side) to the common boundary of Nos 24 and 26 (on the south-east side).
