STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAY AT QUANTOCK CLOSE, STOCKPORT IN THE METROPOLITAN BOROUGH OF STOCKPORT

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT hereby gives notice that, on the application of Manchester & District Housing Association, she has made an Order under Section 247 of the above Act, entitled ‘The Stopping Up of Highways (Metropolitan Borough of Stockport) (No. 1) Order 2008’ authorising the stopping up of a triangular area of highway at Quantock Close, Stockport.

THE STOPPING UP ORDER is permanent and has been authorised to enable the development described in the planning permission granted to Harvest Housing Group by Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council on 22nd January 2008 under reference DC028619.

COPIES OF THE ORDER MAY BE OBTAINED, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport & Planning Team), City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting reference GO/TNW 5086/35/1/59). It may also be inspected at all reasonable hours at South Reddish Post Office, 24 Reddish Road, Stockport, Cheshire SK5 7PE.

ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power of the above Act or any regulation made there under has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of the 9th July 2008, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or any provision contained therein.
