THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT hereby gives notice that she proposes to make an Order under Section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping up of highway at Desborough Crescent, Nowell Road, Thames View Road and Williamson Way, Oxford.

IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted to Oxford Citizens Housing Association Ltd/Taylor Woodrow Ltd, c/o AAP Architecture Ltd, by Oxford City Council on 3 December 2007 under reference 07/02096/FUL, reserved matters granted to Oxford Citizens Housing Association Ltd/Taylor Woodrow Ltd, c/o AAP Architecture Ltd, by Oxford City Council on 3 December 2007 under reference 07/02094/RES, reserved matters granted to Oxford Citizens Housing Association Ltd/Taylor Woodrow Ltd, c/o AAP Architecture Ltd, by Oxford City Council on 3 December 2007 under reference 07/02095/RES, planning permission granted to Oxford Citizens Housing Association Ltd, by Oxford City Council on 3 December 2007 under reference 07/02092/VAR, planning permission granted to Oxford Citizens Housing Association Ltd, by Oxford City Council on 3 December 2007 under reference 07/02093/VAR, outline planning permission granted to Oxford Citizens Housing Association Ltd, c/o The Oxford Architects, by Oxford City Council on 29 June 2005 under reference 05/00637/OUT and outline planning permission granted to Oxford Citizens Housing Association Ltd, c/o The Oxford Architects, by Oxford City Council on 29 June 2005 under reference 05/00639/OUT.

COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 3 July 2008 at Littlemore Peers Library, Peers Campus, Sandy Lane, Littlemore, Oxford OX4 6JY, and may be obtained free of charge from the Transport West Team, Government Office for the South East, (quoting reference GOSE/TRAN/HO/SU/OXON/111) at the address below.

During the above-mentioned period of 28 days anyone may object to the making of the Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting reference GOSE/TRAN/HO/SU/OXON/111 and addressing their objection to the Transport West Team, Government Office for the South East, Second Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA. Please bear in mind that any objections received will be passed to the applicant and other people affected by it. The applicant or their representative may contact the objector directly to try to resolve the objection. The substance of the objection should relate to the loss of public right of way and not the merits of development taking place.
