STOPPING UP OF HIGHWAY AT FEREDAY STREET, WALKDEN IN THE CITY OF SALFORD

THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT hereby gives notice that, on the application of A. A. Hatton & Associates, she has made an Order under Section 247 of the above Act, entitled ‘The Stopping Up of Highways (City of Salford) (No. 2) Order 2008’ authorising the stopping up of part of Fereday Street,Walkden. THE STOPPING UP ORDER is permanent and has been authorised to enable the development described in the planning permission granted to Moylan Homes by Salford City Council on 21st April 2008 under reference 08/56075/REM.

COPIES OF THE ORDER MAY BE OBTAINED, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport & Planning Team), City Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting reference GO/TNW 5085/35/1/158). It may also be inspected at all reasonable hours at Salford City Council/Urban Vision, Emerson House, Albert Street, Eccles, Salford M30 0TE.

ANY PERSON AGGRIEVED BY THE ORDER and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power of the above Act or any regulation made there under has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of the 12th May 2008, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or any provision contained therein.
