STOPPING-UP OF DELPH LANE FOOTBRIDGE, WARRINGTON

Notice is hereby given that, pursuant to section 116 and Schedule 12 of the Highways Act 1980, an application will be made by Warrington Borough Council to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Court House, Arpley Street, Warrington, on Wednesday 4 June 2008, at 2.00 pm, for an Order authorising the stopping-up of the highway set out in the Schedule hereinafter contained on the grounds that the said highway is unnecessary.

Description of Highway to be stopped-up

Pedestrian footbridge over A49 Winwick Road, Warrington, 25 metres south from the Townfield Lane junction. The application area includes the bridge access stairwells on the east and western ends of the structure which together with the bridge footway measures a total of 125.5 metres all of which is shown hatched black on the plan deposited at the Palmyra House, Palmyra Square North, Warrington, and open to inspection there, free of charge, during the usual office hours Monday to Friday.
