THE A43 TRUNK ROAD (SWAN VALLEY WAY LINK ROADS, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE) (40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that she proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A43 Trunk Road at Rothersthorpe, Northamptonshire.

The effect of the Order would be to impose a 40 miles per hour speed limit on

(a) the circulatory carriageway of the A43 Swan Valley Way Roundabout at Rothersthorpe,

(b) the length of A43 that links the Swan Valley Roundabout and both the southbound exit slip road leading from the M1 and the northern motorway service area at Junction 15a of the M1 Motorway, and

(c) the length of A43 that links the Swan Valley Way Roundabout and the A43/A5123 northern roundabout at Junction 15a of the M1 Motorway.

A copy of the proposed Order, a plan illustrating the proposals and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during normal office hours at Northamptonshire County Council, Riverside House, Bedford Road, Northampton, NN1 5NX; Northampton Borough Council, Planning Department, Cliftonville House, Bedford Road, Northampton, NN4 7NR or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations Division, Orders Section, Floor 2, Woodlands, Manton Lane, Manton Industrial Estate, Bedford, MK41 7LW quoting reference HA 41/29/276.

Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should write to the Highways Agency at the above address stating the grounds of objection not later than 17 April 2008 or within 3 weeks of this publication, whichever is the latest.
