TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT hereby gives notice that she proposes to make an Order under Section 247 of the above Act, which will authorise the stopping up of an area of highway land at the Junction of Cryalls Lane and A2 London Road, Sittingbourne in the County of Kent.
IF THE ORDER IS MADE, the stopping up will be authorised only in order to enable the development described in the schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted to Follett Properties Limited, c/o RPS on 6 October 2005 by Swale Borough Council under reference SW/05/0238.
COPIES OF THE DRAFT ORDER AND RELEVANT PLAN MAY BE INSPECTED at all reasonable hours during the 28 days commencing on 29 February 2008 at Swale Borough Council, East Street, Sittingbourne, Kent ME10 3HT and may be obtained free of charge from the Transport East Team Leader, Government Office for the South East, (quoting reference GOSE/TRAN/KENT/HO/SU/1114) at the address below.
During the above-mentioned period of 28 days anyone may object to the making of the Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting reference GOSE/TRAN/KENT/HO/SU/1114 and addressing their objection to the Transport East Team Leader, Government Office for the South East, 2nd Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA. Please bear in mind that any objections received will be passed to the applicant and other people affected by it. The applicant or their representative may contact the objector directly to try to resolve the objection. The substance of the objection should relate to the loss of public right of way and not the merits of development taking place.
