NEW ROADS AND STREET WORKS ACT 1991

SECTION 58

NOTICE OF SUBSTANTIAL ROAD WORKS

1. Three months advance notice is hereby given Kirklees Metropolitan Council - Highways Service intends to carry out substantial road

2. The streets in which these works will take place

i) Meltham Road (USRN 19400664); ii) Stubbin Road (19400731); iii) Carrs Road (19400779); iv) Gate Head (19400565), Marsden, Huddersfield

3. Work is expected to affect the carriageway / footway i) A62 Manchester Road and Chain Road; ii) to iv) each for approx. 10 metres from j/o Meltham Road.

4. Work is expected to commence on 08/06/2008 (Work should begin within one month of this date).

5. The works notified will include the following:-

Carriageway resurfacing, footway reconstruction and drainage repairs

6. Subject to exemptions in the Act and Regulations under it, no street works may be executed for period of 12 months from completion of works described in paragraph 5 without the consent of the said Highway Authority which shall not be unreasonably withheld.
