ST.ANDREW STREET – PROVISION OF A TAXI REST BAY

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Common Council of the City of London propose to make orders under sections 6 and 45 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The effect of the orders would be to designate a taxi rest bay by converting part of a metered parking bay. The taxi rest bay would be free of charge and available for use at any time by licensed taxis subject to a maximum stay of thirty minutes.

3. A copy of the proposed orders, of the Common Councils statement of reasons for proposing to make the orders and of a plan showing the affected street can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays inclusive within a period of 21 days from the date on which this Notice was published at the Department of Planning and Transportation, St.Alphage House, Fore Street, London, EC2Y 5DA.

4. Further information may be obtained from the Department of Planning and Transportation at the above address or by telephone 0207 332 1108.

5. Persons desiring to object to the proposed measures should send a statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director of Planning and Transportation at the above address within the afore-mentioned period of 21 days quoting the reference P&T/TRAF/PA.
