1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Westminster City Council proposes to make the above Orders under section 6, 45, 46 and 49 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985.
2. The general effect of the Orders would be to:
(a) prohibit motor vehicles from entering Old Quebec Street, between Bryanston Street and Oxford Street;
(b) remove the existing waiting and loading restrictions from Old Quebec Street, between Bryanston Street and Oxford Street;
(c) provide 3 parking places (with racks) for the leaving of bicycles without charge or time limit in Old Quebec Street, between Bryanston Street and Oxford Street;
(d) extend the existing residents’ parking place on the south-west side of Old Quebec Street (between Bryanston Street and Seymour Street) by one bay north-westwards;
(e) relocate and shorten by 5 metres the existing shared use parking place from Old Quebec Street (between Bryanston Street and Oxford Street) to a point outside Nos. 25 to 31 Bryanston Street;
(f) introduce a 7 metre loading bay for which the controlled hours would be between 6 a.m. and noon with a maximum stay of 30 minutes.
3. The proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive at West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AJ, until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Orders are made or the Council decides not to make the Orders. 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing to the Council’s agents, West One, 59 Buckingham Gate, London, SW1E 6AJ, quoting reference 5257/GM, by 14th September 2007. All objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
