NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECTION 88

NOTICE is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency;

Proposed discharge:

This application for is for the discharge of sewage in an emergency following total failure of the inlet works pumping station. Contingency measures which are in place to prevent such a discharge include stand-by power and pumping arrangements. A telemetry alarm system will be in place to provide notification of failure or breakdown to enable the applicant to take appropriate action to return the pumping station to normal operation as soon as practicable.
