ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984

THE LEWISHAM (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. -) TRAFFIC ORDER 2007

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Lewisham Council propose to make this order under the provisions of section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

2. The general nature and effect of the order will be to install as a permanent measure—

(a) One-way working, northbound, for vehicles in the 63 metre arm of Conisborough Crescent adjacent to Whitefoot Lane; and

(b) Southbound, contra-flow cycle lane on the east side of the same length of road.

(Informative note:– The order will effectively continue in force indefinitely the scheme currently in place experimentally under the terms of the Lewisham (Prescribed Routes) (No. 2) Experimental Traffic Order 2006.)

3. The one-way restriction does not apply to pedal cycles in the contra-flow cycle lane, ambulance, fire brigade or police vehicles in an emergency or anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform.

4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the order and measures can be inspected between the hours of 10am. and 4pm. on Mondays to Fridays at the office of Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre (Door-to-door building), Wearside Road, Ladywell, London, SE13 (tel. 020-8314 2265).

5. Any objection or other representation relating to the proposed order must be made in writing and any objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. Any such objection or representation must be sent, quoting reference ‘CC oneway’, to Lewisham Traffic group attn. Paul Sharp, Wearside Service Centre (Fleet building 1st floor), Wearside Road, London, SE13 7EZ, to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice. Any objection may be communicated to other persons who may be affected.
