PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that J & M Richards & Sons has applied to the Environment Agency for individual Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permits to operate an installation involving the production of poultry.

The applications contain the information required by the Regulations, including a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installations on the environment. This information is held in registers at the following locations:

1. Environment Agency, Public Register, Rivers House, East Quay, Bridgewater TA6 4YS; and

2. South Somerset District Council, Old Kelways, Somerton Road, Langport, Somerset TA10 9YE.

Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours (9.00 am to 5.00 pm Monday to Friday). Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice.

Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
