HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 116
THE STOPPING UP OF:
(1) THE HIGHWAY KNOWN AS ROMAN WAY, COWLEY, OXFORDSHIRE, AND
(2) THE HIGHWAY KNOWN AS OXFORD CITY BRIDLEWAY 75, COWLEY, OXFORDSHIRE; AND
(3) PART OF THE FOOTWAY OF THE HIGHWAY KNOWN AS GARSINGTON ROAD, COWLEY, OXFORDSHIRE
TAKE NOTICE
That the Oxfordshire County Council intend to apply to the Oxford Magistrates Court under s116 of the Highways Act 1980 for the stopping up of the highways described in the Schedule to this Notice on the grounds that they are unnecessary.
The application is to be heard on Friday 25th May 2007 at 2.00 p.m at the Oxford Magistrates Court, The Court House, Speedwell Street, Oxford OX1 1RX.
The effect of the Order sought will be to stop up the land described in the Schedule so that it is no longer subject to public rights of way.
The map referred to in this Notice may be inspected free of charge during normal office hours at the Directorate of Environment & Economy, Speedwell House, Speedwell Street, Oxford OX1 1NE.
SCHEDULE
(1) The whole of the highway known as Roman Way, Cowley, Oxfordshire between points A1 and A2 on the map referred to in this Notice, and
(2) The whole of the highway known as Oxford City Bridleway 75, Cowley, Oxfordshire between points B1 and B2 on the map referred to in this Notice, and
(3) Part of the footway of the highway known as Garsington Road, Cowley, Oxfordshire between points C1 and C2 on the map referred to in this Notice.
