HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 – SECTION 116

EXTINGUISHMENT OF HIGHWAY RIGHTS

LAND AT 39, HOLBEIN CLOSE, BASINGSTOKE

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Hampshire County Council proposes to make application to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Courthouse, Civic Centre, Aldershot, GU11 1NY at 1.30pm on Wednesday 6 June 2007 for an Order under Section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 extinguishing highway rights over a portion of land at 39, Holbein Close, Basingstoke which is surplus to highway requirements.

A plan showing coloured blue the area of highway, the subject of the application has been deposited at Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council, Civic Offices, London Road, Basingstoke, RG21 4AH where they can be inspected during normal opening hours; and at Basingstoke Library, 19/20 Westminister House, Festival Place, Basingstoke, RG21 7LS, Monday 9.30 – 7.00; Tuesday 9.30 – 7.00; Wednesday 9.30 – 7.00; Thursday 9.30 – 5.30; Friday 9.30 – 7.00; Saturday 9.30 – 4.00; Sunday 11.00 – 5.00.

On hearing the application, the applicant authority, any person to whom notice is required to be given under paragraph 1 of the Twelfth schedule to the Highways Act 1980, any person who uses the highway, and any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for, shall have the right to be heard.
