PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
Notice is hereby given that Rapier Energy Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the disposal of hazardous waste (other than by incineration or landfill) in plant with a capacity exceeding 10 tonnes per day for hazardous waste. The installation is located at New Road, Billingham, Stockton-on-Tees, Teesside TS23 1LE. The application contains the information required by the regulations including a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Rapier Energy Ltd plant for the disposal of hazardous waste (other than by incineration or landfill) is held in registers at the following locations: Environment Agency Office: Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4UZ; and Local Authority: Service Stockton, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council, PO Box 232, 16 Church Road, Stockton-on-Tees TS18 1XD. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours (9.00 am to 4.30 pm Monday to Friday). In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
