PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that ExxonMobil Chemical Ltd. has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the production of organic chemicals (and other associated activities that assist in the process) in order to produce a number of chemical products. The installation is located at Cadland Road, Hardley, Hythe, Southampton, in the New Forest district, in the county of Hampshire. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Fawley Refinery is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, Colvendene Court, Wessex Business Park, Wessex Way, Colden Common, Winchester, Hampshire SO21 1WP; and New Forest District Council, Appletree Court, Lyndhurst, Hampshire SO43 7PA. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. The Environment Agency Office, SPG Office, Howard House, 40-64 St. John’s Street, Bedford MK42 0DL. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
