THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200
1. Notice is hereby given that the council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames propose to make the above-mentioned Order under section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from driving at a speed exceeding 20 miles per hour in the Canbury Area of Kingston specified in the Schedule to this notice. 3. The Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposals, including a plan showing the roads affected by the proposed speed limit, are available for inspection until 6 weeks have elapsed from the date on which either the Order is made or the Council decides not to make the Order at: The 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KT1 1EU between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; Kingston Library, Fairfield Road, during normal opening hours. 4. Further information may be obtained by telephoning the Directorate of Environmental Services, telephone number 020 8547 5939. 5. Any objections or other representations about the proposed Order should be sent in writing to the Director of Environmental Services (Highways and Transportation), Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, Surrey KTI 1EU by 16 March 2007.
