RELATING TO THE SUTTON CONTROLLED PARKING ZONE AND ADJACENT PARKING AREAS

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 47 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of the Orders is to improve the capacity and road safety at the respective locations. The measures are being proposed following the analysis of the Sutton CPZ survey carried out in 2005. Every proposal has been previously agreed with the local ward Councillors. 3. The general effect of The Sutton (On-Street Parking Places) (Sutton Controlled Parking Zone) (No. *) (Amendment No. *) Order 200* will be to:- (a) introduce motorcycle parking places in:- (i) Vernon Road, Sutton on the north side outside No. 5; and (ii) Wilcox Road, Sutton on the south-east side adjacent to No. 24 Brandon Road; (b) introduce a permit parking place in Cadogan Court, Sutton on the north-east side outside Nos. 10 to 18; (c) introduce shared use parking places in Benhill Avenue, Sutton on the south side outside Nos. 60 and 62; (d) extend existing permit parking places in: (i) Lenham Road, Sutton on the west side outside the multi-storey car park; and (ii) Litchfield Road, Sutton on the west side outside the Thomas Wall Centre; (e) extend an existing shared use parking place in Haddon Road, Sutton on the south-east side outside No. 49; (f) redefine an existing permit parking place as a shared use parking place in Brandon Road, Sutton on the east side adjacent to No. 50 Wilcox Road; (g) redefine an existing shared use parking place as a permit parking place in Brandon Road on the west side outside Nos. 17 to 23; (h) relocate and extend a permit parking place in Wilcox Road on the south-east side adjacent to No. 24 Brandon Road; (i) reduce the length of a permit parking place in Vernon Road on the north side outside Nos. 1 and 3; (j) revoke shared use parking places in: (i) Litchfield Road on the east side adjacent to No. 54 Benhill Avenue; and (ii) Oakhill Road, Sutton on the north side outside No. 49. The general effect of The Sutton (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (No. *) (Amendment No. *) Order 200* will be to: (a) introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” in: (i) All Saints Road, Sutton at the junction with Calthorpe Gardens; (ii) Angel Hill, Sutton at the junction with Cranleigh Gardens; (iii) Basinghall Gardens, Sutton at the junctions with the access roads to the parking areas; and (iv) Calthorpe Gardens outside Nos. 2 and 4. (b) redefine existing waiting restrictions “no waiting between 9.00 a.m. and 10.00 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive” as “no waiting at any time” in Grange Road, Sutton at the junction with Upton Dene; (c) redefine existing waiting restrictions “no waiting between 8.00 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive” as “no waiting at any time” in Bushey Lane, Sutton at the junction with Vicarage Road. [Reference WL576] 5. The general effect of The Sutton (Free Parking Places) (Grange Road Area) (No. *) (Amendment No. *) Order 200* will be to: (a) revoke a free parking place in Grange Road on the south side outside Nos. 37 to 45 Upton Dene; (b) reduce the length of a free parking place in Grange Road on the south side outside Nos. 1 to 12 Upton Dene; and (c) extend the length of a free parking place in Grange Road on the north side outside ‘Weymouth Court’. [Reference FR578] 6. The general effect of The Sutton (Free Parking Places) (Oakhill Road Area) (No. *) (Amendment No. *) Order 200* will be to introduce a free parking place in Vine Close on the south side adjacent to No 21 Woodside Road. [Reference FR580] 7. Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents: (a) the draft Orders; (b) plans showing the locations and extents of the proposals; and (c) the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Orders. These may be examined at:

Persons objecting to the proposed Orders should be made aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this Notice open to public inspection, if requested.
