THE SUTTON (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (ONE-WAY) (NO. *) (AMENDMENT NO. *) ORDER 200* (REFERENCE: PR571)
RELATING TO HIGH STREET, SUTTON

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton proposes to make the above mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The principal objective of the Order is to facilitate a two way cycle route through High Street, Sutton, between Throwley Road and Cheam Road, and link the strategic network. The Order will not change anything marked out on site. 3. The general effect of the Order will be to revoke the one-way working in High Street, Sutton, between Throwley Road and Carshalton Road, apart from the existing no-entry plug between Nos. 50 and 52 High Street and the north-western kerb-line of Carshalton Road. 4. Full details of the proposals are contained in the following documents: (a) the draft Order; (b) the Council’s Statement of Reasons for proposing to make the Order; and (c) a plan showing the location and effect of the proposal. 5. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Transport Planning & Works on 020 8770 6455. 6. If you wish to object to the proposed Order you should send a statement in writing including the grounds for your objection and quoting the relevant reference to the address in the following paragraph by Wednesday 28 February 2007. 7. Please address your letter to Planning, Transport and Highways, Transport Planning & Works, London Borough of Sutton, 24 Denmark Road, Carshalton, Surrey, SM5 2JG. 8. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be made aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to this Notice open to public inspection, if requested.
