M20/M26 COASTBOUND IMPROVEMENT

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT: DETERMINATION BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE FOR TRANSPORT UNDER SECTION 105A(3) OF THE HIGHWAYS ACT 1980

The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has determined that his proposal to undertake works to extend the length of the slow merging lane by providing an extended auxiliary lane using the existing hard shoulder which is a relevant project within the meaning of Section 105A(1) of the Highways Act 1980, is not subject to environmental impact assessment in accordance with Part V A of the Highways Act 1980 implementing Directive 85/337/EEC as amended by Directive 97/11/EC.
