THE ISLINGTON (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 43) ORDER 2006

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Islington on 11 December 2006 made the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. 2. The general effect of the Parking Places Orders will be: (a) in Ferntower Road, outside Nos. 2 to 10, remove a shared-use (permit holders and pay & display) parking place and provide a shared use (business permit holders and pay & display) parking place. (b) in Leonard Street, remove the pay & display parking place outside Nos. 1 to 5 Leonard Street and relocate that parking place on the north side of that road; and (c) shorten the existing residents parking place outside Nos. 1 to 23 Richmond Avenue. 3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order will be to further amend the Islington (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Consolidation Order 2004 so that: (a) to remove certain lengths of loading restrictions on MacKenzie Road; and (b) on the south side of Leonard Street, outside Nos. 1 to 5 Leonard Street, provide “at any time” waiting restrictions. 4. The Orders, which will come into force on 15 December 2006 and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until 22 January 2007 at the following location: Street Management, 222 Upper Street, Islington, London, N1 1YA. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Parking Projects on extension 020 7527 8028. 5. Any person who desires to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made there under has not been complied with in relation to any of the Orders may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 22 January 2007.
