ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A52 TRUNK ROAD (STAPLEFORD, NOTTINGHAMSHIRE) (40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 200
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he intends to make an Order under Sections 84(1)(a) and (2), 122A of, and paragraph 27(1) of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 on the A52 Trunk Road at Stapleford in the County of Nottinghamshire. The effect of the Order would be to impose a 40 miles per hour speed limit on — a) Bardills Roundabout, including those lengths of the A52 leading to and from the B6003 Stapleford Lane and the B6003 Toton Lane; b) the A52 westbound carriageway between points 552 metres northeast and 127 metres west of the centre point of Bardills Roundabout; c) the A52 eastbound carriageway between points 584 metres west and 72 metres northeast of the centre point of Bardills Roundabout; d) the dedicated right turn lane leading from the eastbound carriageway of the A52 through the centre of Bardills Roundabout to the southbound carriageway of the B6003. A copy of the draft Order, together with plans illustrating the proposals and a Statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during opening hours at Broxtowe Borough Council, Town Hall, Foster Avenue, Beeston, Nottinghamshire NG9 1AB; Stapleford Town Council, Carriegie Civic and Community Centre, Warren Avenue, Stapleford, Nottinghamshire NG9 8EYor may be seen at or obtained by application to the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations Division Secretariat, 5 Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Highways Agency at the address given above.
