1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that London Borough of Islington proposes to make the above mentioned Orders under Sections 6, 45, 46, 49 and 124 and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Parking Place Orders would be to: (a) (i) remove certain residents’ and shared-use parking places in Avenell Road and Gillespie Road; and (ii) provide additional residents’ parking places in Avenell Road, Elwood Street and Gillespie Road; (b) (i) provide that the residents’ parking places in Avenell Road and Gillespie Road would operate between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and between 8.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. on Saturdays on any day other than a match day and between 8.30 a.m. and 8.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. on Saturdays and between noon and 4.30 p.m. on Sundays and Bank holidays on a day that is a match day; and (ii) provide that the residents’ parking place in Elwood Street would operate between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive on any day other than a match day and between 8.30 a.m. and 8.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays inclusive and noon and 4.30 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank holidays on a day that is a match day. (c) provide that the parking places would be available for the leaving of vehicles displaying a valid permit. This would result in the loss of shared-use parking space for 16 vehicles and the provision of additional residents’ parking space for 2 vehicles. 3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Order would be to further amend the Islington (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Consolidation Order 2004 so that: (a) certain lengths of yellow line would be removed in Gillespie Road to allow for the provision of the above mentioned residents’ parking places; and (b) “at any time” waiting restrictions are provided in the lengths of street referred to in the Schedule to this Notice. 4. A copy of the proposed Orders and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Orders are available for inspection during normal office hours until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Orders are made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Orders at the following location: Street Management, The Municipal Offices, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1YA Further information may be obtained by telephoning Parking Projects, Street Management on extension 020 7527 8025. 5. Any person who wishes to object or to make other representations about the proposed Orders should send a statement in writing, specifying the grounds on which they are made to Street Management, The Municipal Offices, 222 Upper Street, London N1 1YA (quoting reference TMO/RPC/1907), within the period of twenty one days from the date on which this Notice is published.
