AMENDMENT OF WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN MERTON ROAD SW 18 AND PROHIBITION OF U TURN AT THE JUNCTION OF BUCKHOLD ROAD AND MERTON ROAD

1. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the London Borough of Wandsworth proposes to make the following Orders under section 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991-
The Wandsworth (Waiting and Loading Restriction) (Special Parking Areas) (Amendment No. -) Order 200-
The Wandsworth (Prescribed Route) (No. -) Traffic Order 200-
2. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Order would be to amend waiting restrictions to operate at any time at the junctions of Merton Road with Avening Terrace, Balvernie Grove, Buckhold Road, Camborne Road, Coliston Road, Longfield Street, Smeaton Road, Standen Road and West Hill Road as part of a local safety scheme.
3. The general effect of the Prescribed Route Order would be to prohibit vehicles travelling in a southerly direction in Buckhold Road from making a U turn after passing the new central island at the junction with Merton Road also as part of the scheme.
4. Copies of documents giving more detailed particulars of the proposed Orders, including plans showing the location of the restrictions, are available for inspection during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays in The Concourse, The Town Hall, Wandsworth High Street, London, SW18 2PU. The documents will remain available until the end of six weeks from the date on which the Order is made or, as the case may be, the Council decides not to make the Order.

6. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order should send a statement in writing of their objection and the grounds on which it is made to the Director of Technical Services at the address below (quoting the reference ES/PK/TMO847) by 24 November 2006.
