HIGHWAYS ACT 1980 SECTION 116
THE STOPPING UP OF A BYWAY AT BLAGDON, STANNINGTON IN THE COUNTY OF NORTHUMBERLAND
TAKE NOTICE that the Northumberland County Council intend to apply to the South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court under S.116 Highways Act 1980 for the stopping up of highways described in the Schedule to this Notice on the grounds that they are unnecessary. The application is to be heard on Monday the 18th December 2006 at 10.00 am in the South East Northumberland Magistrates’ Court, Bedlington, Northumberland. The effect of the Order sought will be to prevent all traffic over the land described in the Schedule. This is shown on the Plans which may be inspected free of charge at County Hall, Morpeth on working days between the hours of 0930-1630. SCHEDULE DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE STOPPED UP The U9130 at Milkhope Farm, Blagdon, Stannington, Northumberland for its entire length of 279 metres from the junction with the C357 Road in a generally northerly then westerly direction to its termination west of the Milkhope Centre subject to the reservation of a public footpath running for 75 metres from the junction with the C357 Road in a northerly direction to existing footpath no. 1, such public footpath being one metre wide at the western edge of the existing U9130.
