THE NEWHAM (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200
TYLNEY ROAD AREA
1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham proposes to make the above-mentioned Order under Section 84(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. 2. The general effect of the Order would be to impose a maximum speed limit of 20 mph for motor vehicles in the roads and length of road specified in the Schedule to this notice. This speed limit would replace the existing 30 mph speed limit. 3. Copies of the proposed Order and documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be inspected until 6 weeks from the date on which the Order is made or until the proposals are withdrawn, whichever is appropriate, during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the office of the Head of Public Realm, 25 Nelson Street, East Ham, London E6 6EH. 4. Further information may be obtained by telephoning Public Realm on 020 8430 6601. 5. All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the Head of Public Realm at the address shown above quoting Ref PR/TO/PD/NB, by 23 October 2006. 6. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council may be legally obliged to make any comments in response to this Notice open to public inspection.
