NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSE OF SECTION 88
Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act 1991, that an application has been made to the Environment Agency by Thames Water Utilities Ltd for consent to discharge a maximum of 407 cubic metres per day of treated sewage effluent to Lower Farm Brook at National Grid Ref SP 5639 1195, from Constables Piece, Otmoor Lane, Beckley, Oxfordshire. Proposed discharge: This application is for consent to discharge treated sewage effluent from a new package sewage treatment works at Beckley, Oxfordshire and is part of the provision of a first-time sewerage system for the village. It is hoped the new plant would serve up to 128 properties, a school and public house and the discharge will replace these existing discharges within the village. The average daily flow from the plant is likely to be 14 cubic metres per day. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to Karen Fuller, The Environment Agency, Red Kite House, Howbery Park, Wallingford, Oxfordshire OX10 8BD, not later than 13 October, quoting Ref W/WR1403. Please be aware that any representation may be made available to third parties under the Freedom of Information Act or Environmental Information Regulations 2004. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the Environment Agency address above, between the hours of 9.00 am and 4.30 pm,Monday to Friday (not Bank Holidays).
