THE GOODS VEHICLES (ENFORCEMENT POWERS) REGULATIONS 2001 (S.I. 2001/3981)

Notice is given that at 1910 hours on Tuesday 1 August 2006, at Fenton Way, Chatteris, Cambridgeshire, the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency, by virtue of powers under regulation 3 of the Goods Vehicles (Enforcement Powers) Regulations 2001 (the “2001 Regulations”) detained the following goods vehicle: Registration Number: AU 04 HGX, Make: Iveco, Type: Stralis 430 series 3 axle tractor unit coupled to 3 axle skeletal semi trailer MOT I/D No C029465. At the time that the subject articulated large goods vehicle was detained the subject tractor unit bore a plain white livery devoid of any sign writing. The subject goods vehicle was laden with an empty ISO type container I/D No MSCU 603718 0. Any person having a claim to the vehicle is required to establish their claim in writing on or before Monday 28 August 2006, by sending it by post to the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency at Peterborough Goods Vehicle Testing Station, Saville Road, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire PE3 7PL (regulations 9, 10 and 22 of the 2001 Regulations). If, on or by the date given in this notice, no person has established that he is entitled to the return of the vehicle, the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency shall be entitled to dispose of it as it sees fit (regulations 14 and 15 of the 2001 Regulations). Any person having a claim to the contents of the above vehicle or to any part thereof, is also required to establish their claim in writing on or before Monday 28 August 2006 by sending it by post to the address given above. If, on or by the date given in this notice, no person has established that he is entitled to the return of the contents, the Vehicle & Operator Services Agency shall dispose of them as it thinks fit (regulations 16 and 17 of the 2001 Regulations).
