TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990

The Secretary of State hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (Tees Valley) (No 5) Order 2006” authorising the stopping-up of areas of Essex Grove, Spalding Walk, and of unnamed roads and footpaths within the area of Albany House, Norton, Stockton-on-Tees to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted by, and to, Stockton-on-Tees Borough Council on 26 April 2006 under Ref 06/0246/FUL. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Secretary of State at the offices of the Director, Environment Group, Government Office for the North East, Citygate, Gallowgate, Newcastle upon Tyne NE1 4WH (quoting Ref GO-NE/06/5047/35/03) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Norton Hill Post Office, 264-268 Norton Road, Stockton-on-Tees TS20 2BX. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 20 July 2006 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
