NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF A LOCAL PLAN
CANTERBURY DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN FIRST REVIEW
On 14 July 2006, Canterbury City Council adopted this plan with modifications. The
adopted plan will form part of the development plan for the area of Canterbury City
Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting
that area.
Copies of the adopted plan are available for inspection at the Council offices in:
Military Road, Canterbury CT1 1YW (Monday to Friday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm);
Herne Bay Divisional Office, William Street, Herne Bay CT6 5NX (Monday to Friday
8.45 am to 4.45 pm);
Whitstable Divisional Office, 57 Harbour Street, Whitstable CT5 1AQ (Monday to Friday
8.45 am to 4.45 pm).
The plan came into operation on 14 July 2006. A person aggrieved by the proposals
who desires to question their validity on the grounds that they are not within the
powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, or that any
requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with
in relation to the adoption of the proposals, may, within 6 weeks from 20 July 2006,
make an application to the High Court under section 287 of the 1990 Act.
