HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116 AND TWELFTH SCHEDULE

Notice is hereby given that the Rochdale Borough Council in exercise of the powers conferred on them intend to apply to the Rochdale Middleton and Heywood Magistrates’ Court at The Court House, Town Meadows, Rochdale OL16 1BR, on Wednesday 16 August 2006, at 9.45 am, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 authorising the closure of: Alleyway of varying widths running from the rear of the footway adjacent to 8 Tiflis Street to the rear of the properties 70-74 Sheriff Street and along the north-westerly boundary of 8 Tiflis Street for a distance of 18 metres and then turning in a generally south-easterly direction along the rear of the properties 2 to 8 Tiflis Street for a distance of 16 metres and then running in a generally northerly direction for a distance of 32 metres between the rear of the properties 23 to 35 Stanley Street and 76 to 80 Sheriff Street to the rear of the southerly footway on Knowsley Street, Rochdale. The effect of the said Order is shown on the plan, which may be inspected free of charge at the Borough Solicitor’s Office, Rochdale Borough Council, Town Hall, Rochdale and the Customer Services Centre, Floor 2, Municipal Offices, Smith Street, Rochdale, during normal office hours.
