NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take note that Edwin De Grey Allingham of Colveston Manor Farm, Didlington, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial No 6/48/131/17 to abstract water from a tributary of the River Wissey at either National Grid Ref TL789952 or TL787954 at Didlington near Thetford, Norfolk. The variation being applied for is to continue the abstraction of water at 90.9 cubic metres per hour, 1636.5 cubic metres per day, 45.5 thousand cubic metres per annum between the first day of May and the thirtieth day of September each year for a further 10 years from 30 September 2006 and use a supplementary abstraction point to facilitate access. The existing licence for the additional quantity and abstraction point has been in force for twenty years at 90.9 cubic metres per hour. 1636.5 cubic metres per day, 45.5 thousand cubic metres per annum and its variation to permit the same abstraction rates to continue for a further ten years with a more accessible abstraction point is being sought. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Colveston Manor Farm between 22 June 2006 and 21 July 2006.
