NOTICE OF PROPOSAL TO APPLY FOR AN ORDER AUTHORISING THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAY ADJACENT TO 84 BEACONSFIELD ROAD, NEW FERRY, WIRRAL

Notice is hereby given, that the Wirral Borough Council as the Highway Authority for the highway described in the Schedule hereunder intends to apply to the Wirral Borough Magistrates’ Court, sitting at Chester Street, Birkenhead, Wirral, on 17 August 2006, at 1.45 pm, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the highway described in the Schedule hereto to be stopped up on the grounds that the said highway is unnecessary. The highway to be stopped up is shown coloured black on the plans deposited at the Central Administration Office, Legal and Member Services, Town Hall, Brighton Street, Wallasey, and may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours. Any person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order to be applied for may attend before the Court during the hearing of the application and shall have the right to be heard.

Schedule
That part of the highway at Beaconsfield Road, New Ferry, shown coloured black on the plan, commencing at a point marked “A” and running in a westerly direction for a length of 21 metres and at a width of 9 metres until it terminates at a point marked “B”.
