THE KINGSTON UPON THAMES (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION)
(SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO 16/2006) TRAFFIC ORDER 2006
PROPOSED WAITING RESTRICTIONS—CHESSINGTON AREA

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames on 5 June 2006 made the above Order under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended.
2. The general effect of the Order, which will come into force on 12 June 2006, will be to introduce waiting restrictions in certain lengths of roads in Chessington, as detailed in the Schedule to this Notice. The restrictions would operate “at any time” (double yellow lines), except where specified.
Please note that the proposed restrictions for Ashby Road and Parbury Rise, published in the Surrey Comet on 12 April 2006, have been deferred
3. The Order, and other documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, including plans showing the location and effect of the restrictions, are available for inspection until 17 July 2006 at:

the 2nd Floor Reception Area, Guildhall 2, Kingston upon Thames, KT1 1EU between 9.30 am and 4.30 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive; and
Hook and Chessington Library, Kings Centre, Coppard Gardens, Chessington during normal opening hours.

4. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or that any of the relevant requirements thereof of any relevant regulations made thereunder have not been complied with in relation to the Order may make application for the purpose to the High Court by 17 July 2006.

the north-west side, outside No. 3 and Nos. 1 to 4 St. James’s Row ( 8.30 am to 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays);
the south-east side, outside Nos. 20 to 24 ( 8.30 am to 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays) and at its junction with Salmons Road ( at any time). The restrictions would also extend into Salmons Road by approx 8 metres;
Church Lane
both sides, at its junction with Moor Lane for approx 8 metres;

the east side, outside Nos. 11 to 19;

the west side, opposite No. 19 to 23;
Filby Road
at its junction with Gilders Road (for approx 40 metres on the north side and 5 metres on the south side);
Gilders Road
at its junction with Moor Lane (for approx 40 metres on both sides);

the south-east side, across the accessway between Nos. 61 and 61 a and at its junction with Filby Road (outside Nos. 99 and 101);

the north-west side, across the access between Nos. 60 and 60 b and outside Nos. 72 to 94;
Grange Road
at its junction with Hunters Road (both sides, outside and opposite Nos. 98 to 106);
Green Lane
the west side, at its junction with Hunting Gate Drive (for approx 20 metres);
Hemsby Road
the north-west side, outside No. 6/8 (extending existing restrictions southward by approx 5 metres);
Hunters Road
the south-west side, at its junction with Grange Road (for approx 10 metres);
Hunting Gate Drive
the south side, at its junction with Green Lane (for approx 20 metres);

the north side, at its junction with Green Lane (for approx 6 metres) and across the garages to the east of No. 16;
Moor Lane
the south side, at its junction with Church Lane (eastward for approx 9 metres) and at its junction with Gilders Road (eastward for approx 20 metres and westward for approx 40 metres);
