PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL
Notice is hereby given that Bayer CropScience Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency
for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an existing
installation involving the production and formulation of plant health products and
biocides, the production of pharmaceutical products, the production of organic chemicals
containing oxygen, the production of organic chemicals containing nitrogen, the production
of organic chemicals containing halogens and the manufacture of a chemical involving
the use of ammonia. The installation is located at Sweet Briar Road, Norwich, Norfolk
NR6 5AP, in the district of Norwich in the county of Norfolk.
The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of
emissions from the installation on the environment.
Information relating the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Bayer
Crop Science Ltd—Norwich Site is held in registers at the following locations:
The Environment Agency, Kingfisher House, Goldhay Way, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough
PE2 5ZR; and
Norwich City Council, IPPC Public Register, Mark Leach, Environmental Health Office,
Norwich City Council, City Hall, St Peters Street, Norwich NR2 1NH.
Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated
addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish
to obtain a copy of relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon
the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying.
Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in
writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days of this public
notice.

Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless
the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there
is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been
