PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000

INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Carpenter Ltd has applied to the Environmental Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the use of Organic Chemicals: Part A(1)(d) section 4.1 & Part A(1) (iv) section 4.1 in the manufacture of polyurethane foam, rebounded polyurethane foam, and the blending of chemicals. The installation is located at Dinting Lodge Industrial Estate, Glossop SK13 6LE in the borough/district of High Peak in the county of Derbyshire. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Glossop Foam Plant is held in registers at the following locations: South Area, IPPC Public Register, Appleton House, 430 Birchwood Boulevard, Birchwood Warrington WA3 7WD; and High Peak Borough Council, IPPC Public Register, Town Hall, Buxton, Derbyshire SKI7 6EL. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the register can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costing of copying. Any Objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environmental Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice.
