PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Thames Water Utilities Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the burning of fuel manufactured from, or comprising, any other waste in an appliance with a rated thermal input of 3 megawatts or more but less than 50 megawatts, as in section 1.1(b)(iii) in Part 1 of Schedule 1 of the Regulations. The installation is located at Beddington Sewage Treatment Works, Beddington Lane CR0 4TH, in the borough of Sutton in the county of Surrey. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Beddington Combined Heat and Power Plant is held in registers at the following locations: Environment Agency Office, Swift House, Frimley Business Park, Camberley, Surrey GU16 7SQ; and Croydon London Borough Council, Taberner House, Park Lane, Croydon CR9 3JS. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
