PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER REGULATION 10 OF THE POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL (ENGLAND AND WALES) REGULATIONS 2000
INTEGRATED POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Innovia Films Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for an Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) permit to operate an installation involving the production of organic chemicals such as cellulose-based films and burning fuel in an appliance with a rated thermal input of 50 megawatts or more. The installation is located at Station Road, Wigton, in the borough of Allerdale, in the county of Cumbria. The application contains a description of any foreseeable significant effects of emissions from the installation on the environment. Information relating to the above IPPC application for a permit to operate the Wigton Viscose Manufacturing Site is held in registers at the following locations: The Environment Agency, Appleton House, 430 Birchwood Boulevard, Birchwood, Warrington WA3 7WD; and IPPC Public Register, Allerdale Borough Council, Allerdale House, New Bridge Road, Workington, Cumbria CA14 3YJ. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPPC application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at the address below, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. The Environment Agency, PO Box 12, Richard Fairclough House, Knutsford Road, Warrington WA4 1HG. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request.
