STOPPING-UP OF PART OF STIRLING WAY

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Sutton (hereinafter referred to as “the Council”) has made an Order under section 247 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, entitled the London Borough of Sutton (Stopping-Up of Highway) (Stirling Way) (Part) Order 2006. 2. The general effect of the Order is to stop up an area of the highway at Stirling Way to enable construction of an industrial/warehousing building (use classes B1 and B8) with associated car and cycle parking. The term “stopping-up” means that area of Stirling Way ceases to be public highway. 3. The stopping-up is to enable the development described in the Schedule to this notice to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act, to the developer on appeal by the First Secretary of State on 19 August 2005 under Appeal Refs APP/P5870/A/04/1164269 and APP/P5870/A/04/1179167. 4. A copy of the Order, made 7 April 2006, and the relevant plan may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Council’s Executive Head of Legal Services, Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey SM1 1EA (reference VCW) (020 8770 5193). 5. A copy of the Order and the relevant plan may be inspected by any person, free of charge, by appointment, between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm (weekdays) at Civic Offices, St Nicholas Way, Sutton, Surrey SM1 1EA.
