THE LONDON BOROUGH OF RICHMOND UPON THAMES (PROHIBITION OF STOPPING OUTSIDE SCHOOLS) (AMENDMENT NO 10) ORDER 2006

1. The Council of the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames on 20 March 2006 made the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Prohibition of Stopping Outside Schools Order is to: (a) adjust the location of the existing “school keep clear” markings in Church Road outside St Mary’s and St Peter’s school by approximately 5 metres (and extending its length by 1 metre to give an overall length of 31.5 metres) and altering the times when stopping is prohibited from “between 8.00 am and 9.30 am and between 2.30 pm and 4.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive” to “between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive”; and (b) extend the existing “school keep clear” markings in Somerset Road outside the same school such that they extend for an overall distance of 43.5 metres and prohibit stopping “between 8.00 am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays inclusive”. 3. The general effect of the Waiting and Loading Restriction Order is to introduce waiting restrictions “no waiting at any time” on all arms of the junction of Church Road with Somerset Road, Teddington. 4. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 27 March 2006, a plan showing the location and effect of the Orders and the Council’s Statement of Reasons for making the Order can be inspected for a period of 6 weeks from the date of this notice, quoting Ref 28/06, at: (a) Teddington Library, Waldegrave Road, Teddington, Middlesex TW11 8LG during opening hours, and (b) the Civic Centre (Second Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham between 9.15am and 5.00 pm on Mondays to Fridays, except for Bank and other public holidays. 5. Copies of the Orders may be purchased from the Environment Directorate, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ. 6. Persons wishing to question the validity of the Orders or any of their provisions on the grounds that they are not within the powers conferred by the 1984 Act, or that any requirement of the Act or any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with that person may, within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
