Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley on 16 March 2006 made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 47, 49 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991 and of all other powers thereunto enabling, which will come into operation on 1 May 2006.
The effect of the Orders would be to:

(a) introduce a pay and display parking scheme as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(b) amend the existing Waiting Restrictions as specified in the Schedule to this notice;
(c) revoke the pedestrianisation section of Maple Road and modify the road closure outside No 138 that is controlled by lockable gates to 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive.

A copy of the Orders may be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date of making the Orders.
Any person wishing to question the validity of the Orders or of any of their provisions on the grounds that it is not within the power of the relevant enabling Act, or that any requirement of any such enabling Act or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with, may within 6 weeks from the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.

Schedule
Pay and Display Parking Bays

Between 8.30 am and 6.30 pm on Mondays to Saturdays except Public holidays and Bank Holidays, 30p per hour, 2 hour maximum stay, minimum 10p up to 20 minutes


Maple Road, Penge:

(a) the north-west side, from a point 18.29 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of High Street south-westwards to a point opposite the party wall of Nos 138 and 140 (25 spaces);
(b) the south-east side, from a point 16 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of High Street south-westwards for a distance of 12 metres (2 spaces).

Waiting Restrictions

No Waiting At Any Time:


Maple Road, Penge, the north-west side, from the south-western kerbline of High Street south-westwards to a point 2.5 metres south-west of the north-eastern flank wall of No 197.

No Waiting between 7.00 am and 6.00 pm on Mondays to Saturdays inclusive

Maple Road, Penge:

(a) the north-west side, from a point 2.5 metres south-west of the north-eastern flank wall of No 197 south-westwards to a point 8 metres north-east of the north-eastern kerbline of Heath Grove;
(b) the south-east side, from a point 4 metres south-west of the south-western kerbline of Blenheim Road, south-westwards to a point 8 metres north-east of a point opposite the north-eastern kerbline of Heath Grove.
