NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF PROPOSALS FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF A LOCAL PLAN
SHEPWAY DISTRICT LOCAL PLAN REVIEW

On 16 March 2006 Shepway District Council adopted these proposals. The Secretary of State was satisfied that the necessary modification had been made to comply with his direction to the authority to modify the proposals. The adopted proposals will form part of the development plan for the area of Shepway District Council. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area. Copies of the adopted plan and of the Secretary of State’s notification that he was satisfied with the modifications made to comply with his direction are available for inspection at the Civic Centre, Folkestone and One-Stop-Shops in Hythe, New Romney and Lydd on16 March 2006. The proposals came in to operation on their adoption. A person aggrieved by the proposals who desires to question their validity on the ground that they are not within the powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 or that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the adoption of the proposals, may, within 6 weeks from 16 March 2006, make an application to the High Court under section 287 of the 1990 Act.
