ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A449 TRUNK ROAD (GILBERT LANE, WOMBOURNE, STAFFORDSHIRE) (PROHIBITION OF RIGHT TURNS) ORDER 2006
The Secretary of State for Transport hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under sections 1(1), 2(1) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, on the A449 Trunk Road, known as Stourbridge Road, at Wombourne, in the county of Staffordshire. The effect of the Order, which comes into force on 6 March 2006, will be to prohibit vehicles turning right from Gilbert Lane into the A449 Stourbridge Road. A copy of the made Order, together with plans illustrating the proposals and a statement of the Secretary of State’s reasons for making the Order, may be inspected, during opening hours, at: Wombourne Parish Council, Civic Centre, Gravel Hill, Wombourne, South Staffordshire WV5 9HA; and Wombourne Library, Windmill Bank, Wolverhampton, West Midlands WV5 9JD; or may be seen, during normal office hours, at or obtained by application to, the Highways Agency, Traffic Operations Division (Orders), C4 Broadway, Broad Street, Birmingham B15 1BL. Any person wishing to question the validity of, or of any provision contained in the Order, on the ground that it is not within the powers with respect to the Order conferred by the above Act, or on the ground that any requirement of, or of any instrument made under, any provision of that Act has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of 2 March 2006, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
