NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Kenny Hill Farms, of Kenny Hill House, Kenny Hill, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP28 8DU, are applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial No 6/33/39/S/412 for the abstraction of water from drains at and between the following National Grid Refs TL 6449 8098 and TL 6585 8047; TL 6475 8087 and TL 6560 8118; TL 6494 8077 and TL 6567 8103; TL 6551 8132 and TL 6581 8089; TL 6469 7940 and TL 6628 8030; TL 6495 8005 and TL 6525 8031; TL 6505 8057 and TL 6573 8000; TL 6574 7972 and TL 6585 7960; TL 6612 8026 and TL 6695 7822; TL 6667 7858 and TL 6723 7905; TL 6657 8014 and TL 6687 7975; TL 6647 8159 and TL 6830 8239; TL 6698 8151 and TL 6759 8169; TL 6718 7963 and TL 6766 7908; TL 6725 8048 and TL 6811 8028; TL 6787 7887 and TL 6819 7852; TL 6720 8158 and TL 6742 8100; TL 6743 8164 and TL 6763 8112; TL 6752 8200 and TL 6830 8154; TL 6752 8200 and TL 6880 8107; TL 6761 8224 and TL 6826 8187; TL 6816 8229 and TL 6839 8200; TL 6821 7965 and TL 6867 7982, all at Forest Heath district, Suffolk. The variation is to add land at High House Farm with additional lengths of abstraction and to increase rates of abstraction to 205 cubic metres per hour, 2,050 cubic metres per day and 148,101 cubic metres per year between 1 April and 31 October each year for spray irrigation purposes. The application is to amalgamate licence No 6/33/39/S/412, with licence No 6/33/39/S/400 which is due to expire on 30 September 2006, to aggregate the rates of abstraction and to extend the period of the licence from 31 October 2008 until 31 March 2013. A copy of the application and any map, plans or other documents may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the Kenny Hill House, Kenny Hill, Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk IP28 8DU, between 16 February 2006 and 16 March 2006.
