HIGHWAYS ACT 1980, SECTION 116

NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO STOP UP HIGHWAY AT WHITECLIFF ROAD, SWANAGE, DORSET

At 2.15 pm on Monday 13 February 2006, the County Council, as Highway Authority for the county of Dorset, intends to apply to the Dorset Magistrates’ Court sitting at Wimborne Magistrates Court, The Law Courts, Hannam Road, Wimborne, Dorset, for an application under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980. The effect of this Order, if made, will be to stop up highway rights over a section of highway on either side of the pathway between Nos 4 and 6 Whitecliff Road, Swanage, Dorset from Grid Ref SZ 0274 8048 to SZ 0270 8046. A plan illustrating the extent of the Order applied for may be inspected, free of charge, at Swanage Library during its normal opening hours. Anyone aggrieved by this application may oppose it by attending in person at the Wimborne Magistrates Court on 13 February 2006 at 2.15 pm and they will have the right to be heard.
