NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Jeremy Stewart Scott, of Cheveney Farm, Yalding, Maidstone, Kent ME18 6EA, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial No 9/40/03/0479 to abstract water from tributary of River Beult, at TQ 714 497 and TQ 715 497, at Grove Farm, Hunton, Maidstone, Kent ME15 0SE. The variation being applied for is to increase the reservoir winter stored capacity from 40 ml to 60 ml; increase area covered by the licence from 50 ha to 80 ha to enable all the farmed land to be irrigated, and revoke the direct summer extraction allowance of 3.39 ml and increase the spray volume from winter stored water from 22.7 ml to 30 ml. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Cheveney Farm, Yalding, Maidstone, Kent ME18 6EA, between 19 December 2005 and 19 January 2006. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, at Orchard House, Endeavour Park, London Road, Addington, West Malling, Kent M19 5SH, before the end of the said period.
