THE NEWHAM (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO 80) ORDER 2005

1. Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Newham, on 28 November 2005, made the above-mentioned Order under sections 6 and 124 of, and Part IV of Schedule 9 to, the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Order will be to: (a) restrict waiting by vehicles “at any time” (double yellow lines) in (i) Grasmere Road and (ii) Tollgate Road, the south side, from the common boundary of Nos 237 and 239 Tollgate Road eastward for a distance of 30 metres; (b) revoke the existing restrictions on waiting by vehicles between 8.00 am and 6.30 pm on Monday to Saturday inclusive throughout the whole length of Ashburton Terrace and restrict waiting by vehicles “at any time” in the following lengths of Ashburton Terrace: (i) the north-east side, between the western kerbline of Grasmere Road and a point 10.5 metres west of that kerbline; (ii) the south-west side. 3. A copy of the Order, which will come into force on 5 December 2005, and of documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order, are available for inspection during normal office hours until six weeks from the date on which the Order comes into force on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at the offices of the Head of Public Realm, 25 Nelson Street, East Ham, London E6 6EH. Copies of the Order may be obtained from this address. 4. If any person wishes to question the validity of the Order or of any of its provisions on the grounds that it or they are not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any requirement of the Act or of any instrument made under the Act has not been complied with, that person may, within six weeks from the date on which the Order was made, apply for the purpose to the High Court.
