THE LEWISHAM (20 MPH SPEED LIMIT) (NO  ) TRAFFIC ORDER 200 

1. Notice is hereby given that Lewisham Council propose to make this Order under the provisions of section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. 2. The general nature of the Order is to impose a 20 mph maximum speed limit on vehicles being driven on these roads in the Catford south and Whitefoot north area: Abbotshall Road, Ardfillan Road, Ardgowan Road (between its junctions with Brownhill Road and Hazelbank Road) Ardoch Road, Arkindale Road, Arngask Road, Arran Road, Balloch Road, Bargery Road, Battersby Road, Baudwin Road, Bellingham Road, Birkhall Road, Bosbury Road, Boundfield Road, Braidwood Road, Broadfield Road, Burleigh Walk, Callander Road, Carstairs Road, Castillon Road, Conisborough Crescent, Crantock Road, Crutchley Road, Culverley Road, Cumberland Place, Daneby Road, Daneswood Avenue, Daneswood Avenue, Dowanhill Road, Ector Road, Evans Road, Fordel Road, Further Green Road, Gilton Road, Glenfarg Road, Greenside Close, Hafton Road, Hazelbank Road, Hexal Road, Inchmery Road, Killearn Road, Longhill Road, Meliot Road, Merchiston Road, Minard Road (between its junctions with Brownhill Road and Hazelbank Road) Mordred Road, Muirkirk Road, Muncies Mews, Newquay Road, Pelinore Road, Pasture Road, Penberth Road, Penderry Rise, Penerley Road, Persant Road, Sambruck Mews, Sandhurst Road, Scarlet Road, Sedgeway, South Park Crescent, Thornbeach Road, Torridon Road (between its junctions with Brownhill Road and Hazelbank Road) Waters Road, Wellmeadow Road (between its junctions with Brownhill Road and Hazelbank Road) Wentland Close, Wentland Road, Wingrove Road, Woodham Road; supported by traffic calming measures to comprise a 20 mph zone. 3. The restrictions referred to above do not apply to ambulance, fire brigade or police vehicles in an emergency or to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. 4. Documents giving more detailed particulars of the Order can be inspected between the hours of 10.00 am. and 4.00 pm, on Mondays to Fridays at the offices of Lewisham Highways Development, Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, London, SE13 7EZ (telephone 020 8314 2265). 5. Any objection or other representation relating to the Order must be made in writing and any objection must specify the grounds on which it is made. Any such objection or representation must be sent, quoting Ref “P.Sharp/CatWhite20zone”, to Lewisham Highways Department, Fleet Building, 1st Floor, Wearside Service Centre, Wearside Road, London, SE13 7EZ, to arrive not later than 21 days from the date of publication of this notice.
